Over the last few years I've noticed more and more websites offering an online proof. If you've ordered other personalized products, perhaps you too have come across this awesome technology. I recently ordered memo pads for CARSON wrappedhersheys.com and while I was able to preview the exact image online I was only reassured with the result because the artwork was created by the in-house graphic design staff.
Now you might ask why having a graphic designer set-up your artwork is better...well here is how I see it...each order we produce is carefully created by a staff of people that care what your order will look like. A graphic designer type sets each personalized field. We take into consideration the size of the font, its relationship to other fonts regarding scale and occasionally, we will discover a single letter in a font family that doesn't actually look like the letter it's supposed to represent.
Additionally, our graphic designers are free to explore many font styles while creating designs. For example on the Love You Sand (Item# WH09) we wanted the font to look like letters in the sand. With Formal Birthday (Item# SB192) we were going for an elegant formal look. What do you need on a chalkboard? Name on a Board (Item# CTA01) emulates handwriting. In the design process we evaluate
the fonts carefully to make sure it coordinates with the overall feel we
want for the item.
And what about pictures? Well, our graphic designers not only place the image in the file, but spend time on color correction, retouching, resizing and maybe creating a chin or shoulder if we think the photo needs a little extra effort. Of course we don't want to change the integrity of the image, only enhance the best qualities already there.
Ultimately we are guided by you, our customers. So if you want a different font, color or specify how the picture is cropped we listen. We want you to be happy and think about that with every order that goes through each one of our hands. While we admire the new technology we still think each personalized order needs a personal touch.
