Endless Possibilites

Sailor Do you have an idea for a party theme and want to give your guests a special "sweet" treat, but can't find a wrapper design that matches your theme on our website?  Or maybe you can find a design that matches your theme, but it's found under another category on our site.  Have no fear... the possibilities are endless!

Recently a customer contacted us here at CARSON wrappedhersheys.com with her eye on our note card design, Item #NBB03.  She really liked the design and it matched her theme for a baby shower, but we didn't have the layout available for our candy bar wrappers.  This customer quickly learned the benefits of "ask and you shall receive."  Our highly skilled graphic artists were able to take the note card design and transform it to a bar design.  Our creative production team liked the new arrangement so much that we just may end up making it a permanent bar design on our website.

What's the lesson here?  Well the lesson is there's no harm in asking about an idea you may have for a design if you don't see it on our website.  If you see a design that you love in a category other than that of your event, our graphic artists are able to fit it to match your event.  If you don't see any designs similar to the theme for your event but your imagination is running wild with great ideas, let us know and our graphic artists are able to work with your ideas to create a product that is perfect for you.  Who knows, maybe we'll love your ideas so much it will inspire us to create a similar permanent design for our website!

A “Sweet” Presentation Idea

ChristopherColumbus Leftquote In fourteen hundred ninety-two Columbus sailed the ocean blue. He had three ships and left from Spain; He sailed through sunshine, wind and rain. He sailed by night; he sailed by day; He used the stars to find his way. A compass also helped him know, how to find the way to go."

Does your child have to give a class presentation and you are out of ideas on how to help them make their’s stand out? Well take out your pencil and pad and take notes from this dad in California!

Greg contacted us at CARSON wrappedhersheys.com to help him create a unique wrapper his son could use during a class presentation on Christopher Columbus. He had an idea in his head of a wrapper with some kind of ship on the front and facts about Christopher Columbus on the back.

We took Greg’s idea and modified our birth announcement design Sail Scapes Item # BB61 to create a factual, but yummy lesson about the famous discoverer. Greg’s son will pass out these treats as part of his presentation and we haven’t heard yet but are all crossing our fingers for an “A”!

We would love to create a "sweet" wrapper for your event. We have so many categories on our website and are familiar with various patterns and themes – contact us for assistance. It’s just that simple.

It's a Boy!

ItsABoy On March 5, 2011 it will be official.  Rocky, a rescue Lab, will be adopted into the loving household of Peg.

A special woman indeed, Peg called CARSON wrappedhersheys.com to order our Pinstripe Assorted Miniatures to announce  “It’s a Boy”  as part of a celebration party she’s hosting for members of Brookline Lab Rescue.

We were touched by the story of how Rocky came to live with Peg, her Husky and her Pomeranian. Tragically, Peg’s husband passed away after a motorcycle accident last August.  Just 3 weeks later she lost her Black Lab to cancer.  After 6 months, Peg decided to adopt a new Lab into her home and she contacted Brookline Lab Rescue. Following a home inspection the rescue group matched her up with Rocky for a probationary period, which ends March 5.

Rocky Peg shared, “It took this Lab, Rocky, to tear down the wall around my emotions and bring healing to me, so I am planning this celebration around the adoption.  He has been a joy to me and my other four-legged kids.”

It sounds to us like Peg and Rocky have “rescued” each other.  We are so happy that Peg chose our wrapped Miniatures as a treat for her celebration.

Congratulations to our new friends Peg and Rocky!

LOVing Chocolate

LOV-Logo2 For the ninth consecutive year, consumers have chosen Genesys as one of the nation's top hospitals for quality, image, reputation, and the best doctors and nurses. Only 267 health systems in the country were chosen for this award.

To help promote the type of service and quality that earns them this prestigious award year after year, Genesys Health System has established the LOV "Living Our Values" Award. This award honors employees, volunteers, and resident or active members of the GHS Medical Staff  who best demonstrate the qualities exemplified by the core values of the organization: service of the poor, reverence, integrity, wisdom, creativity and dedication. Nominations may be submitted by a peer, manager, director, vice president or patient/patient family member.

Tool-Kit2 In September Genesys Health Systems contacted CARSON wrappedhersheys.com to help create a custom wrapped Hershey's bar coordinating with their LOV theme to be included in their Employee Reward and Recognition Toolkit.

Managers throughout their Health System received a toolkit filed with various items they could use to recognize employees in different ways throughout the year. Each manager was asked to develop their own "scale" to use when recognizing an employee - a small token of appreciation may be a greeting card while a larger token might be the chocolate bar - depending on the act the employeee was recognized for.

Happy Birthday, Oliver

SB205 Blow 'em Out A unique name for a newborn baby, amazing candid photos, the celebration of a non-traditional event, creative personalized messages; it's amazing how each order seems to provide a tiny glimpse into the lives of our customers.

Cindy Weber's order for her father-in-law's birthday came with a note:  "Oliver will be 102 years old on July 6, 2010.  This is the 3rd year we have ordered the candies for him to pass out to friends, family, and employees of his nursing home. He loves this gift."

I feel like there's a story behind every order.  Thank you, Cindy, for sharing Oliver's.

Oliver has lived in Woodbury County, Iowa all of his 102 years.  He was a farmer, a butcher and retired as the Jr. High School custodian and school bus driver.

He was married to Cora Weber for 72 years and they had five children.  Though Cora, and their oldest child, Betty, have passed away Oliver's other 4 children and many of his grandchildren and great grandchildren will be in Sioux City, over the 4th of July.  One grandson is coming from Hawaii.  Oliver has grandchildren serving on the mission field in Uganda, Thailand, and China.

Oliver Oliver is credited with saving his hometown of Holly Springs, Iowa, in 1998, when he discovered a leak in the dike that ran through the middle of town.  If you do the math, he discovered that leak at age 90!  He lived on his own until he was 98 and now lives in a retirement home where he was chosen king at age 99.  He loves to fish and play his valve trombone and harmonica.

This year Oliver can expect an extra birthday treat from CARSON wrappedhersheys.com with our best wishes for this special birthday.  We are honored to be a part of his birthday tradition.

Thanks a Million, Mr. Reinhard

HomesteadHS Arland Reinhard placed his first order with CARSON wrappedhersheys.com in 2001, requesting a modification to one of our wrapper designs at the time.  With his photo on the front, school crest on the back and a personal message these bars proclaimed, “Thanks a Million”.

On June 14, 2010 Mr. Reinhard celebrated his retirement from 40 years of classroom teaching and CARSON sent along a special treat.

"The 5-pound bar arrived Friday afternoon.  It is fantastic--very, very special.  Thank you for your kindness As I retire, this is kind of the 'icing on the cake.' :)" - Arland Reinhard

Thanks A Million, Mr. Reinhard, for your dedication to education over the past 40 years.  We wish you all the best as you enjoy your retirement.

Cats Go Wild

CatsBar As the Wildcats finished up their season, defense coach Mike Aaron contacted CARSON wrappedhersheys.com with an idea for a sweet “Thank You” to the team’s head coach.  We worked with Coach Aaron and created a custom wrapped 5lb Hershey’s Milk Chocolate “Cats Bar”.  The wrapper featured the Cats logo along with photos of the 09-10 Pee Wees (7-9 year olds) and 09-10 Midget (9-10 year olds) teams.

Aaron shared, “Two years ago the head coach started handing out a chocolate bar after every game for a player with a big hit or game changing performance. This year both teams have gone undefeated during regular season play.  I could think of no better way to show our thanks to the head coach than to have him get his own reward candy bar.”

The kids signed the wrapper, which was later framed for the head coach.  The 5lbs of chocolate?  Defeated by 30 hungry Wildcats.
